Yesterday I went to the Mount Pleasant Animal Shelter for a dog walking orientation--( yes, I am basically a cat person ) They had a passel of eight Pit Bull Puppies, 2 months old , up for adoption. They were born at the shelter. The Mom was dropped off while pregnant--They will have no problem adopting out the little guys and Mom has a home at the shelter til someone realizes what a great pet she will be..
Must get back to my art work--have 2 mailboxes to complete and a pussy cat canvas portrait to begin

OLD TIMERS' DAY
It is somewhat about baseball and ALL about cats--The Mount Pleasant Animal Shelter in East Hanover, NJ hosted an old timers' day for all the pussy cats that have been living at the shelter for a number of years. I photographed the kitties for them, They were successful in adopting out a few of the cats from a free roaming room--no cages for the general population--a couple of cats were in huge cages large enough for a human to curl up in comfortably as they were on special diets and could not eat from the communal platter. If I were a homeless kitty this is the place I would choose to live---no one gets put down EVER.

Border Collie goes home in pieces

I recently shipped this Border Collie portrait mailbox to my colleague in Mississippi at The Mailbox Ranch. As this was to be a portrait she requested I paint the likeness of the dog and all the limbs and tail. I usually paint the whole pet on the box : she puts them together separately using the box for the body only---hopefully she will send me a photo of the assembled piece so I can exhibit it in this forum. Emma helped with the packing rebuffing Dino's help
