NEW JERSEY WOLVES

This past weekend I took tome off from painting and visited the wolves of NJ in a compound in Warren County, NJ. There are 24 wolves living there on 10 acres of wilderness preserve. It is challenging to photograph the wolves as there is double chain link fencing surrounding the preserve . With the aid of the retouch tool in my iphoto program on my MacBook I was able to erase a good portion of the obtrusive fence in some of the photos. It is worth the trip to hear all 24 wolves howl in unison. The wolvws respon d to their names. The current population came from Colorado and were raised as pups--The handler at one time had 17 pups at his home. The preserve is limited to 24 wolves so only 5 were allowed to stay. The others went to other preserves around the US

They are the most gorgeous wolves I've ever seen. Hope they are still propagating.
